Turkey Day in California

I decided that since Matt was super busy with his rotations I would fly with the boys to California to spend some time with my family. We had such a good time! Matt was even able to fly out and spend a few days with us which was a wonderful surprise. Before we left, we had a big snow so daddy and Anders went out and built Anders' 1st snowman. He named the snowman Sarah, and everyday he would go and check on her, that is until she melted.
The best part about going to California is seeing family. Anders loves playing with his cousins. Here he is with Gavin and Madison playing in the backyard. We certainly enjoyed the nice weather!
Another reason I wanted to go to California was that I found out the my sister's mom-in-law was throwing her a surprise birthday party. I hate to miss a party so I just had to be there :) It was at the Ruby's in Orange. We had a great time, and Heidi was sooo surprised!
We also spent Thanksgiving at my sister's house in Lake Elsinore, the food was yummy! Auntie Heidi was ready with a craft for the kids. Anders had fun decorating his turkey!
During our trip we also went to Tom's Farm. It was a beautiful day and the kids got to ride the carousel...
Anders had his very 1st pony ride...he couldn't have been happier!
We also went on the Tom's Farm train...choo choo
No trip to CA would be complete without going to Knott's Berry Farm. In November-December they do a deal for police officers/firemen and their families. Since my dad was a Sheriff for 31 years we went and took advantage of the deal. Here is Gavin and Anders on the airplanes.

I was sooooo happy that Matt was able to come out and surprise us....It made my Thanksgiving. We also had fun shopping on black friday! Here's a group shot just before he left!
Thanks for the fun times everyone!!!!
